FM-100 Intelligent Durable Series
For industrial gear oil & oil-film bearing oil at 220 cSt
Designed for high-viscosity industrial gear oils and oil-film bearing oils. Robust construction for 24/7 operation.
- Built for the 220 cSt band where a standard purifier stalls
- Heater and vacuum sized for viscous oil, not a light oil with the heat turned up
- Built to be left alone on a 24/7 gear-oil circuit

What it removes
Water, gas and particulate from industrial gear oil and oil-film bearing oil at around 220 cSt -- the viscosity band where a standard purifier starts to struggle because the oil will not spread into a thin film and will not give up its water at the usual temperature. This model is built to run continuously on that grade, not to be wheeled in for an occasional clean-up.
How it works
Higher heating capacity and a vacuum system sized for the lower vapour pressure of a viscous oil. The oil is brought to a temperature at which it flows thinly enough to release water, and the residence time in the chamber is set for that viscosity rather than for a light oil. Robust construction throughout is the other half of the design: on a 24/7 gear-oil circuit the machine is part of the production line, and a unit that needs nursing is a liability.
Where it is used
Rolling-mill and continuous-caster lube systems, oil-film bearing circuits on large rotating equipment, and industrial gearboxes in steel plants where the oil has to be brought back to reuse standard. Also where water has to come out fast because the ingress is continuous rather than a one-off event.
Options and service
Continuous-duty heater and pump sets. On-line connection to the reservoir. Spare heater and pump as stock items, because the machine sits inside a production circuit rather than beside it.
Common questions
Why does a standard purifier struggle at 220 cSt?
The oil will not spread into a thin film and will not give up its water at the usual temperature, so dehydration stalls no matter how long the oil stays in the chamber.
Can it run around the clock?
Yes. On a 24/7 gear-oil circuit the machine is part of the production line, and it is built to be left alone.
What oils does it take?
Industrial gear oils and oil-film bearing oils in the 220 cSt band.
