Collected waste engine oil — decolourising regeneration
Service-station engine oil collected by a waste-oil processor was regenerated to the expected standard.
Challenge
Engine oil collected from service stations by a waste-oil processor needed regeneration rather than disposal. Collected oil is the hardest feed there is: it carries water, soot, wear metal and the remains of whatever was in the drum before, and it arrives in batches that are never quite the same twice. A process that only works on a consistent feed does not work on this one.
Solution
The nano ultra-clean screening decolourising system, applied to the collected oil as it arrives. The coarse load comes out first, then water, then the fine and colour-bearing fraction, so each stage is asked to handle what it is good at rather than being asked to do the whole job at once.
Outcome
The result fully met the expected purification and regeneration standard. For a processor, the useful part is repeatability: the same route on a feed that changes batch to batch, with the outlet judged by measurement rather than by appearance.
