Membrane research agreement signed with a marine science institute

A technology cooperation agreement was signed on 18 October at the 2025 China-EU Membrane Technology Industry Innovation Conference, pairing the company's nano-screening membrane platform with a university marine science and technology school.

What each side brings

The partner school runs national and provincial platforms in marine engineering materials and deep-processing technology, marine antifouling engineering, ocean vessel water systems, and a China-EU membrane technology research centre. Its work on high-performance separation membrane preparation and membrane fouling control sits directly upstream of the problems industrial oil purification runs into: what passes through a membrane, what fouls it, and how long it lasts.

On this side, the contribution is the application layer. The company was among the first in China to put membrane separation into industrial oil purification rather than water treatment, and its nano-screening units lift cleanliness from NAS 8 to NAS 3 in a single pass. The product range is already deployed across more than twenty industries, from petrochemical and steel to lithium battery and power generation.

What the agreement covers

The two sides will jointly develop and promote new membrane technology for marine industry applications, combining the school's materials research and talent pipeline with the company's field experience and manufacturing base. Work starts from membrane life and fouling resistance under salt-water and heavy-fuel conditions, an environment where the failure modes differ from a land-based hydraulic system.

The stated aim is not a research paper but a product line: membranes specified for marine duty, with service intervals a ship operator can plan around.
